Cape Cod Landscape. Nov/Dec 2010. (Gift for my friend Kathleen)
Acrylics on Canvas. Painted using elements in art books as a guide.
What I love about it:
- The waves/water came out great -very rich and color is spot on
- The fence looks AWESOME - very realistic.
- love my clouds...soft and hazy...like they'd be on the ocean horizon.
What I wished I could fix before calling it "done" -
- the shading under the grass...too damn dark.
- the shading in the sand - didn't get the depth/perspective quite right
- I chickened out with the sea gulls - made them really small...to the point of not being able to even see them. They came out great but you can't see them.
